Scott Barger was born and raised in Altoona. Because his parents owned and operated small businesses throughout Central Pennsylvania for over 50 years, Scott experienced the ups and downs of being raised in a “small business family.” This helped him develop work ethic and an entrepreneurial spirit.

A self-described “Reagan conservative,” Scott was raised to value individual liberty and accountability as well as a limited government “by the people, for the people.”

A pastor for 15 years, Scott spent much of his ministerial time in Indiana, serving in the Greater Fort Wayne area as well as the small communities of Warsaw and Winona Lake.

His wife, Beth, is a public school teacher for 11th- and 12th-grade math. The couple enjoys biking Blair County’s many trails and traveling throughout Pennsylvania to discover what its many small towns have to offer.
